Surf Team News
The Body Glove Surf Team is cranking right now. Luke Stedman and Gabe Kling are recovering from injuries and getting ready to attack the WCT for the 2nd part of the year. Alex Gray and Dusty Payne are featured in a sick new Volcom surf movie called BS that is having premieres on the east and west coasts right now. Dusty Payne, Nate Yeomans and Austin Ware are all sitting in the top 15 of WQS ratings and if the year stopped today would be hitting the WCT next year. Dusty Payne, Mike Losness, Nate Yeomans, Austin Ware and Matt Pagan were all just in town for the huge US Open of Surfing in pumping and historic Huntington Beach. After the contest they (and the rest of the surf world in California) filled their summer wave quota up and down the coast. Alex, VP of Marketing Scott Daley and video legend Greg Browning scored some incredible surf at some secret Central California spots. Cheyne Magnusson just got from a month in Bali and the videos, photos and stories are just trickling in now. Holly Beck is back from her 2nd home in Nicaragua where she has chronicled her surfing, building their house and buying cars. The Wake Team is in the heat of the season right now. The entire crew is heading out to Wakestock next week in Collingwood Canada for the biggest wake event in Canada. Canadians Rusty Malinoski and James Balzer are looking to mix it up with their fellow hockey lovers. Following Wakestock is the final event of the MasterCraft Pro Wake Tour in Sparks Nevada. Bob Soven is looking to complete the sweep of the season in the Junior Pro Men's Division while Rusty and Harley Clifford battle it out for the podium in the Pro Men's. Jeff McKee has a great new video called New Trick Tuesday at Alliance Wakeboard Magazine Online.
