Volcom’s VQS event went down last Saturday February 22nd and the Body Glove team was there in full effect. The waves were 2 – 4 feet and nice conditions prevailed all day for the groms trying to take home the victory. In the end only Noah Collins and Wil Reid were able to make the Junior final and both of them nearly stole the victory from hometown favorite Jake Marshall. Wil almost stomped a massive full rotator in the opening minutes of the final but came unglued in the whitewater. Noah Collins had an impressive final dropping big scores throughout but was barely edged out by Marshall who had the highest score of the heat. In the end Wil finished 6th and Noah almost pulled the upset coming in 2nd. It was an epic day and everyone was shredding from team BG. Nice work boys!!!
Lucas Taub stoked and on to the second round!
Defending Pro-Am champ Breyden Taylor had a nice campaign but lost in the quarters.

The best part of the day is when the awards take place all the other kids who didn’t make finals take turns dousing the finalists with flour! Noah and Wil, who finished 2nd and 6th, respectively. Flour Power!
