Bob Soven Throws Down For Cowtown

Cowtown Wakepark, one of Texas’ premier wakeboard facilities, is proud to announce that Bob Soven is now a partial owner of the complex, becoming one of the first pro riders to take an ownership position in the wakepark industry. Soven, though a ripe 21 years old, is a seasoned professional and one of the most respected athletes in the action sports community. He is known for his unmatchable style on the water and his dedication to connecting with his many fans off the water. Bob is optimistic about wakeboarding’s future and gracious for the opportunity to help it grow. “The opportunity to invest back into our sport is awesome,” he says. “I want to do everything I can to help wakeboarding develop and reach it’s maximum potential; I see getting new riders into the sport via cable as the best way to do that!”

Bob joins an experienced owner/management team at Cowtown which includes Fort Worth local and die-hard wake enthusiast, Tommy Fambrough as well as Tony Finn, founder of one of the world’s top wakeboard companies, Liquid Force.  “We couldn’t be more stoked on Bob’s involvement with the park,” says Finn. “He has shown interest in getting involved for a long time, and we applaud him for being the first pro rider to take the initiative to get hands-on.  His insight is priceless and is going to add a lot of value to the park.”

The ownership adjustment is only one of many changes in store for Cowtown in the near future, and Soven plans to waste no time on putting his touch on things. “I have a lot of plans in mind to improve the entire Cowtown Park experience, but our first move is bringing in new rails which will be arriving in mid March. Cowtown has major potential and I’m ready to help fulfill that,” says an enthusiastic Soven. Most improvements are scheduled to get under way in spring 2013 and finished for rider enjoyment by summer.

The collaboration of one of wake’s most popular pros along with some of wakeboarding’s top insiders should prove synergetic, leading to many exciting changes at Cowtown and within the industry. In true ‘Bob’ fashion, he leaves Texans with one piece of advice: “Tell your wife, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, Cowtown is going to be the place to be!”
